Ten important facts of life learnt and still learning

Posted on: March 10, 2012

Life is a journey of a variety of experiences that are woven together in our minds, kept in our hearts, and sometimes forgotten, to make way for newer experiences to enrich and strengthen us. We all learn so many lessons from life, that prevents us from making the same mistake twice, and takes us forward to achieve newer goals and create new ideas.

I gathered Ten facts of life from my experiences about nature, people and the situations around us.

They are written below:

  • There is always the cycle of Karma (the work you do) which will continue to affect your life as long as you live.. so do good Karma, it will yield you good results. If the Karma is bad, it would give you bad results. Best of all , do the Karma without expecting results, but it is so very difficult to accomplish; yet we have to keep trying, for this enriches our mind and makes us positive and strong.
  • Help and assist people whenever you can, without expecting back any help from them. Helping others and seeing a smile in their faces, along with their blessings, makes you feel real good and lifts up your spirit, so that you can focus and accomplish your task successfully.
  • Never underestimate any person in your life. You never know how that person can help you out in sudden occasions. Also, a person who may come across as helpless and weak in your eyes, may not be so.
  • First impression is often not the last impression. In today’s world appearances are highly deceptive, so never judge people from their outward appearances or the image they project.
  • Avoid spending time with people or reading or watching stuff which exude negativity and demoralizing attitude. It affects your thinking and prevents your from moving forward. Instead, spend time with positive , optimistic people, read and watch things which inspire and motivate, as a positive attitude even in seemingly impossible situations, often takes you far and helps you deal with things in life.
  • Respect and love nature and her creations..look out of the window everyday and onto the sky with her variety of colours and those snow white or dark grey clouds adorning the sky. Look around and hear the voices of nature, away from the daily hustle and bustle of life. Nature transcends her positive energy into you and heals you from within. Always love nature and her beautiful creations.
  • Listen to music, the genre which you love most at least some days or everyday for a few hrs in the month. It refreshes you and makes you prepared to look forward for what is to come.
  • Keep searching for true friends throughout your life, and work hard to hold on to the ones who truly love you for who you are.
  • Find that one person in your life who will love you and accept you as you are, and would never want to change you, and would stand by you, no matter what endeavours you choose to follow and accomplish, provided they are for the betterment of all.
  • Respect and be friendly with all colleagues in the workplace, because you never know who would be at your side when you climb up or down from the ladder of success, and you see the same faces at different levels of success above or below you.

Well done and thank you for sharing these. Funny, I was having a problem with karma this week. She was confusing me so I wrote a blog post about it.

Thanks for your thoughts Lori, I saw your post and aired my views about it. Do cheer up πŸ™‚ I believe in Karma strongly, look around you and the stuff happening to people around you and you can relate them to Karma. Please don’t be confused with the concept of Karma, it is also related to what we call time .

Wonderful advice, all the way down your list. Thank you for the pointers.

Thanks πŸ™‚ If you like to read and write poetry and travel to various places, then may be you could check out my free poetry-travel memoir ebook. Its my first ebook, and its a freebie at smashwords.com http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/121492 . If you read it, would you be able to write your review at that ebook page? Thanks again πŸ™‚

Nice post. I especially like point 2, assist others, this gem often gets forgotten in our rush to self betterment, our, grab what ever you can out of life attitude …. Thanks for the post ! Tanya

Thanks for going through the blog, its a real challenge to follow these 10 simple points, in the whirlwind race of what we get out of life… but these 10 points remind us that we have it in all of us to do good for all πŸ™‚

I agree with all self-learned points here. Among your learnings though the best that applies to me is the value of respect. Respect is a simple yet a hard earned achievement for anyone. For one thing, each one of us have our own share of being disrespected. However, I believe that we are all capable of giving due respect to every person we meet. As they say, respect also begets respect.

I agree with you, treat others as you would want to be treated. Respect is valued and earned, however, a respectful person also confers respect on people whom he meets in life.

I loved the lessons that you have come up with. I could identify with them because they are exactly what I have in mind, too. I think listening to music, connecting with nature and finding true friends will all help in making life happier, better. πŸ™‚

I agree! We often get lost in the hustle and bustle of life and our eyes just scan through the nature and the beauty around us, but if we stop for sometime and actually take it all in, it may seem life is not that complicated in reality πŸ™‚
